Lipstick base ideal for making matte liquid lipsticks as well as satin-finish liquid lipsticks. For a glossier finish, add castor oil to the coloring phase along with your preferred amount of pigment. For a more matte finish, add isododecane instead. Use 2 teaspoons per large batch of base, and scale down to match the size of the lipstick you're making — a standard tube holds about 0.12 to 0.15 oz, so you'll only need a small amount of oil per tube.
